Yeah, thank you very much! I love the looks of it.......kind of like a bit of water waves appearing on the soundboard.

Have a great day!

Thanks again to all taking the time to look and comment. I appreciate the comments, as well as advice about the pickups, etc. Such a wealth of guitar knowledge here on the AGF!

Thank you AGF!!!

You can’t go wrong with Takamine Nashville series. The NEX body shape is attractive while producing quality sound. Top grade solid top and solid back woods. The Pro-Series Takamine guitars that I have, and have had, are all equipped with Gotoh tuners. The playability is great and the action can be set low.
At one point I bought a new Takamine TSF48SC with Cool Tube 2. This is similar to your TNV460 but with the Santa Fe’ southwestern theme. As mush as I liked that guitar I could not get used to the 1-11/16” nut and so I sold it, eventually replacing it with. Martin M-36 with 1-3/4” nut.
If you have any questions about your Takamine check out www.Takamineforum.com
Enjoy!
Blues.
Is there a secret handshake involved with getting onto the Takamine forum? Tried to get an account on there a while back to no avail...basically got ignored...

It doesn't exactly have a lot of traffic. I had to email the admin to get my registration confirmed.

For what it's worth, our Facebook group gets a lot more traffic and information posted than the forum does, if you're on Facebook.

About 10-15 years ago there was a fair amount of activity on the Takamine Forum especially when Takamine Was introducing new models several years running.
Now it seems as though the action has slowed considerably. I Only check in every couple of months, Whereas I used to check several times a week.
I will say that the archives hold a wealth of information on the older models so it’s worth signing up if you can.

Good Luck,
Blues.

Yeah, it seems pretty good there. Tried signing up, got an email saying that someone would enable my account shortly, but nothing...

Unless I missed an email...Will have to confirm...

Default P5NC

Hello, dunno if you are still active on this forum, but I'd really want to know how you would describe a sound comparison between the two models, P5NC and TNV460sc. I heard the TNV on youtube and I liked the "chunky sound" and low ends, however I couldn't find a good recording of P5NC. I'd be interested in P5NC due to its thinner neck, however there's nowhere I could play it in my country.
Do you think the sound is similar with those two?

Zero quack issues with my CoolTube 2 in my Tak. Had it for years. I have never heard of anyone refer to the CoolTube 2 as quaky before this post. I highly recommend working with and playing with the adjustments before changing a thing. There is a fader for the tube and it can be added in as you see fit. The 3 band high, mid, and low's can be adjusted in the preamp as needed. The tube adds in some warmth but can get a bit boomy if too much is added in, especially at higher volumes. My easiest guitar to get a good sound with in most venues.
