1956 D-18
1956 D-18 in good condition. This one has a very strong straight-braced D-18 tone with ample bass and a very dry, direct and punchy sound. Cuts through amazingly well and really reminds me of David Grier's early recordings where he was playing his 56 D-18. Only issues are a small crack on the corner of the bass bout as well as one adjacent to that on the side. See photos. These are repaired and stable. The guitar also has ivory button Waverlys installed in place of the original tuners.
The action is medium low, and there is very minimal fret wear. The neck was reset at some point as well. The guitar will ship in a recent production Martin Geib style case. I"m offering the guitar at SOLD shipped and paypal'd in the CONUS. PM me if you need additional pics. Last edited by jb83; 03-10-2020 at 10:23 AM. Reason: SOLD |
