I'm so sad! My 114e just got scratched by my cat.
I'm so sad! My 114e just got scratched by my cat on the soundboard. It looks ugly. Anything I could do besides trying to look at this as 'character'?

Yeah, I know it's 100% on me. It hangs on the wall... Which kinda makes even more sad. I could have avoided.

You might try some Meguires Scratch-X 2.0. It's an automotive product but I've used it on all of my guitars.

Ignore the flood of cat-hating posts that will soon come. Kitties (we love 'em) do this sort of thing sometimes. It wasn't malicious.
Finish work is really tough to implement and make it look good. A really qualified repair person might be able to fill the scratch with CA (superglue) and make it look decent. The factory certainly could fix it like new for a price. Repairing UV cured polyester finishes is a specialty thing. |

Cat reliced/cat mojo. Sorry it happened but use Meguire and clean it up. Try to get over it even if it really feels annoying. Life will inevitably give us scars
Our cat stay away from my guitars since it has followed my slow progress of learning guitar the last 4 years and associate them with painful noise- obviously your cat feels more comfortable with your playing |

The best product I've ever tried for scratch removal. It is a 2-formula product; A bit pricey but a little goes a long way and it's good to have around for future removals. Works great on cars too.

The first scratch is the deepest, baby you know, the first scratch is the deepest.
Or something like that. This will be something you'll laugh about down the road after your guitar has other character marks. I'd try the Meguires, too. scott |

Since it is a matte finish I would not use Scratch x as that would create a shiny area. I would rub some lemon oil into the scratch and call it a day. Play some Cat Scratch Fevor.
I'm familiar with Bear Claw but not Cat Claw. You have something very special there.
