Default Best Reverb Pedal?

I was looking into buying a Fender Deluxe Reverb amp but can't really afford £780 - so alternatively I'm looking for a pedal that can give me a similar reverb, any specific suggestions?

Also open to hearing about any pedals that offer a great reverb as well as other effects. But I don't want a host of different pedals. Just one.

Thanks!..

If you just want simple, old fashioned reverb without many options, the Boss pedal is pretty good: https://www.boss.info/us/products/frv-1/

TC Electronics Hall of Fame 2 would be my recommendation. Although if funds allow, a Strymon Blue Sky or Big Sky would be way cool. I have an MXR Digital Reverb that isn't bad.

I use the Boss with my tweed deluxes and my deluxe reverb. The DR has an awful mojotone Reverb tank. The Boss pedal sounds far better.

We spent last Saturday messing around with different reverbs. Final verdict was Keeley Verb o Trem worked fantastic and was closest to Fender tank reverb that we used for A/B. YMMV.

TC Hall of Fame 2, or even older first gen from ebay if on a budget. If not, Strymon. I personally dont discriminate reverbs too carefully. Most built-in amp reverbs suit me fine.

Don't overlook the Digitech Polara. I have the Strymon Big Sky, the Polara, and the HoF as well as a few others. I love reverb! But, I think the Polara is just as good as any of them, and better than most!71ocDxvdHRL._AC_SX679_.jpg

Meris Mercury7

And in the "Price is no object" category is the Chase Bliss CXM 1978. I mention the Chase Bliss CXM 1978 because it is an incredible reverb pedal and it's a collaboration between Chase Bliss and Meris (the maker of the Mercury7).

Amazing! Some people are even asking upwards of $300. I paid nowhere near that amount for a new one back when they were current.

Empress Effects Reverb
I personally use the Strymon BigSky but (IMHO) the Empress is an impressive reverb pedal and it has a smaller footprint.
