Great song! Well played and sung. What did you use to make the recording? The sound quality is very good.

That's impressive. Dang it, I was hoping it was a Zoom or something, though. Don't want a smart phone...

P.S. How do you embed a Youtube video? I see how to get the embed link, but how is it correctly entered to display in these threads? [Got the answer. Thanks, Jeremy!]
Beautiful, both of them!

Our senior year (Debbie and I) was 1970-1971 which was a great time for music! Cat Stevens released "Tea for the Tillerman" in late 1970 so, songs from the album didn't reach the charts until 1971. The album was rated as #8 for the year in 1971.

The most popular songs from the album were "Wild World" and "Peace Train" but, our favorite was "Longer Boats." Here is our rendition: Longer Boats

This song came out in May, 1985--the very month of my high-school graduation. Did not care for the arrangement when it was released and forgot about it for more than 25 years until Sam Beam (Iron & Wine) covered it in 2010. LOVED his version.

Interesting so far the variety of years, though it's confirmed my suspicion that most on this forum are older. :-P I have to admit my senior year of high school (2004-2005) was full of awful music that I didn't pay much attention to.

I do play one song that was released in November 2004 but it's likely not forum-suitable due to an incident of strong language and I don't know what the limits are in terms of that when posting songs vs. just discussion.

A little creative license in attendance with the lyrics - Always liked this guy's stuff. Had to search for something I might've done for that year and got lucky.

I never heard the original of that, I only heard a local group called "Odd Girl Out" do it and I assumed Anne Dechant, the lead singer had written it. Anyway, I enjoyed your version. Nice groove and I like your voice.
