I am pretty certain it is Koa, but it is possible it is a black walnut or other dark brown hardwood.

and thanks for doctoring the photo, although even as adjusted that photo makes it look much more orangey than in reality. The other photos of the back are much more representative of the color tones.

Yeah - if it's Koa it's stained really dark. I'll work on the pic again.
