Default Found this organization website

This evening I was doing a google search for the song Afro Cuban Lullaby and came across this website called CGLIB.org.... seems they have tons of sheet music for classical guitar that you can download in PDF format, and all they ask is for the person downloading a piece to make a donation to the site.

https://www.cglib.org/

Has anyone used it before? Is it legit? There are pieces by famos composers and artists such as Leo Brouwer and Christopher Parkening. Are they infringing on Copyright laws? If they are not I think a lot of us should support them and their effort.

Had never heard of it before.

I'm no expert, but my guess would be yes, especially with all the modern classical and steel string based acoustic fingerstyle music they offer from contemporary artists, many of whom are still alive and active.
I can't imagine that a lot of that music isn't protected by Copyright laws. Why wouldn't it I wonder?
Maybe the old stuff (19th century and older) is part of the public domain, but the newer material? Doubtful.

Andre,

That is what I was thinking too. Unless of course the "donation" fund they request immediately goes to the artist that wrote the piece. Which I highly doubt.

I tried googling the site to see if it is legit, but garnered no results.

Be interesting to see what the what is on this site.

Well, I am outta here... Peace Out )= Stay Safe
