Cool

Congrats! Your beautiful playing sounds amazing!

My 000-15M is on its way. I hope to see the three magic words "Out for Delivery" on Monday. Will post some NGD pics.

Great playing- wish I did as well as you.

The second video is my review. I posted links only so as not to steal your thunder. I LOVE my 00015M- and I am waiting on a 00017 in the Smoke color and non a/e- but, I may have to reassess my desire since you say it ain't what it's cracked up to be.

Well thanks again to everyone for the NGD congrats and the nice comments on my playing.

Gdjjr, definitely don't let my assessment of the 000'17 sway you. It was really more of a "im going to need to hear this in person" kind of situation for my ears...I also kept noticing that the 000-15s i heard in online videos sounded great...and I'm very old school/cautious about buying acoustics, so I pretty much need to play in person before I'd consider buying. This one had old dead strings and STILL sounded lively against my chest, so I knew it was meant to be.

Congrats! The 15 series are great guitars! I like D’Addario Nickel Bronze 12-53 on my 00-15m.

The 000-15m and you sound great. Congrats on a wonderful find. The 000-15m's can be a real catch!

Congratulations you make a wonderful sounding instrument really sing.

I own the same model, bought it used a few years ago and love it. Funny thing is I tried all the usual strings, Martin and other brands of PBs, the highly loved Martin Retros (didn’t like those). Then a set of Ernie Ball Earthwood 80/20, I usually don’t play 80/20s. Those are my favorite strings for that guitar and I bought 4 packs to have on hand

Congratulations on the new guitar, Jeff. It is always a pleasure to hear you play.

Have a great Sunday.

Thanks again folks.

Re: strings, I love 80/20s...They're ridiculously bright for the first few hours, but they mellow out in a way phosphor bronze never does. I will definitely try the retros next string change, though.

There's an "even-ness" of the sound quality and volume from string to string that i needed to hear in person to understand, but once I did, I realized it was the sound I personally was looking for in a flat top. So the tradeoff seems to be big open string chords don't sound as lush and sparkly, but "jazz chords" all over the neck sound good in all positions...

I'm actually interested in why more jazz players don't gravitate towards these...or maybe they do and I'm late to the party

Nice! I've had a 000-15M for several years, and it's still a joy to play. There is just something so inviting about them - I have a lot of guitars, but whenever friends stop by, that's the one they always seem to reach for.
Enjoy!

15 series is one of the best that Martin produces. I’m partial to John Pearse PBs on my 0Mc-15.

Got a chance for a few morning sun pics...

Back has a nice little "wave" to it. Sipo, I'm assuming? I think thats what they're using now. Whatever it is, I like it.
