meyers pickups
Anybody here using a meyers pickup? can you give your users opinion if so? I'm looking at picking up one with the 3" gooseneck for my resonator

Perhaps he reads AGF, but I'll email him and see if he'd like to relate his experience with it. I know he uses one on his mandolin, too. HE

I have one but I don't use it much as at my (very occasional) live gigs I don't have the required time/gear/environment to finess working with a mic. I need to be able to show up, plugin in, away we go, so I use the Krivo most of the time.
Having said that, as far as sound goes, it's the best. I actually did a comparison a while back.

The Myers Feather sounded most like what you're playing acoustically into the Zoom, with less gain.
The Krivo, while very convenient, sounds like a magnetic pickup. Nice demonstration in any case! Very nice playing! Regards, Howard Emerson

I have one, the idea being I could use it if one guitar needed more sound than my mike would provide. Or to balance a quieter one when I have 2 on stage. I stick it on the side and put the mike portion into the soundport. That way it is not readily visible to the audience and I don't seem to get feedback.
It is not something I need often, but comes in handy once in a while. And I have had them pop off. They stay on better if I moisten the suction cup. I wipe the area down after removing it. No complaints about the sound and the customer service is outstanding.

I played a 1935 fiddle-edge Dobro M32 for some years…what a guitar that was! I used a Krivo on the two tours I did with it and absolutely loved the tone. Really huge, guttural and dramatic. Add some reverb and it was heavenly, cinematic stuff. Recommend the Krivo 1000%.
