VERY well done. If you’re anything like me you’re your own worst critic. The pictures reveal much time and patience. Hence the outstanding results! We’ll done, Sir.

As to the “mild neck dive” maybe a lighter weight tuner would help a bit. Just an idea.

Again, VERY well done.

Very nice.

As someone who just paid just north of 2K for a new Fender Thinline. (Thin Skin) I am jealous as hell.

However, these thinlines are some of the best sounding semi hollowbody guitars ever.

Many years ago, I was in Wildwood shopping for a new ES 335. Long story short, and as I am short., I came home with a new AV Thinline. Fit me better and sounded as good at what I wanted as the 335. Being the idiot that I am, I sold it a few years later and for the life of me cannot remember why.

I may have missed it. How did you finish the maple neck and fretboard? Did you use Tru Oil on both?

Fabulous job. Looks like a work of art.

I've gotta say, though, every time I hear someone describe the process of finishing a guitar, it reminds me of why I am happy music stores exist.

Yes, correct. Three coats only on the fretboard, and back of neck. I then used 0000 steel wool to rub down the back of the neck. Hand slides nicely.

Edit: Forgot to add I used a light coat of amber stain on the back of neck, and fretboard prior to Tru oil.

Lol. Yeah I get that. It was something I took my time deciding to do, and once committed there was no turning back. Fortunately, I had all the necessary tools, and experience with wood working to pull it off. Worth it in the end as it came out sounding, and playing as good as it looks.

Thanks again everyone for the kind words.
