Hate to tell ya, but you ain't the target market demographic, I guess you could say you are more like collateral fannage . ---So there,,,,

All you have to do is look at the number of mullet haircuts on people who are emulating Morgan Wallen to see who their target demographic is! Mullets were bad enough the first time, when Billy Ray Cyrus made them de rigueur! LOL

KevWind, due to covid, I learned how to cut my own hair and keep the mullet from appearing. Now I actually prefer to cut my own. Cheaper and it actually looks the way I want it to and not be at the mercy of the barber/stylist. Once you get past that backwards image stuff in the mirror and retrain your hand to go the correct way, it's pretty easy.

Oh man I'm impressed . Hard enough to pick and fret, let alone work backwards with a sharp implement behind my scalp

I had finally gotten a buzz cut this spring before Delta Dawn ramped up .
But I mayhave to try your method

Another from back in the day
My wife and I heading up to about the 10,000 ft. level to hunt for Elk. Only problem with a buckskin is the color looks a lot like Elk in the heavy timber

The deficiencies with relying on streaming and podcasts and such to grow your audience rather than having radio help you out is that potential consumers have to actively seek these other means out rather than simply listening to the radio while they drive someplace and learning of new artists that way. The deficiency of radio, of course, is that it has become junk to the point where I and others only play CDs of dead guys anymore.

The article mentions these alternative means of growing careers. Sure, it has always been possible for artists to have huge careers without any initial support of radio, regardless of genre. I watched the recent documentary on KISS. I think I recall it saying KISS was the #1 grossing live band at one point and yet had next to zero radio play at the time.

I think the author of the linked article slightly misses the radio guy’s incentive for the rant. The radio guy was essentially telling consumers that they aren’t getting the good stuff and they should demand better. The author of the article essentially said that everyone already knew that, that if consumers wanted the good stuff they could get it some other way, so it did not need be discussed. So basically the radio guy wanted to improve country radio, but the author said country radio did not need improvement because good artists can make it some other way. I’ll keep listening to my dead guys.

Default Country Music Radio

My biggest problem with too many of today’s Bro-country songs, is that it portrays people from the south as ignorant rednecks. Sure, there are lots here, but we’re not all “beer outthe can, liquor outthe bottle” hillbillies! Of course, they seem to ALWAYS find the perfect examples of those who are, to put in their videos! Drives me insane.

Ain't that the truth! reminds me of TV (and now internet ads) that portray the man of the family as an idiot- course, I don't watch broadcast TV and haven't in a little over 1 1/2 years- let me add, I won't.... watch broadcast TV.
The videos I watch on you tube are not of bro-country artist(?) -
