Wayward pinkey
I searched this and didn't find an answer so here goes:
when I play chords I tend to not land my pinky cleanly on the string and mute or buzz adjacent strings. I have a habit of fat fingering (using the fleshy underside) instead of the finger tip,I recently have tried practicing the E scale over and over but was wondering if anyone had a suggestion as a good way of overcoming this problem. Thanks in advance-Sausage Fingers |

Simple, don't do that except for pinky barres. It is hard to be more specific without seeing what you are doing but find the wrist position that allows the fingers be more perpendicular to the fretboard. This kind of stuff is really helped out by a few guitar lessions from a hands on teacher.

Kind of what I suspected,I've been told the same thing about my golf game
I just thought maybe their was an exercise to practice keeping yor hands in the correct position so chord changes would land with more precision. Lessons would surely be an expense that will give the most benefit. |
