Default If you could use a little good news right now...

Les Paul and Jeff Beck tearin' it up behind Sam Cooke's (recorded) vocals:

That's a favorite of mine too. I first heard it first on the documentary, "Les Paul: Chasing Sound." I've probably watched this show a dozen times and it continues to inspire me. I finally ordered a used copy on eBay for $5.16. It's gotten hard to find; check out your local library.

Rick

PS - I think Les (among others) showed that even in your 90s you can be relevant. This week, I'll make sure the 'Iridium' reserves my slot for 2049.

Steve, what a great rockin' tune. I'm not familiar with Sam Cooke (other than his name) so I googled him. Died far too young.

How did this recording work? Did they use Sam Cooke's original vocals and then Jeff Beck put his guitar tracks on it?

Exactly - Jeff and Les backing Sam's original vocal...

Lots of fun! Thanks for posting this one, Steve... any idea what year this was recorded? (Jeff and Les, not Sam...)

Two of my all-time favorite electric players right here!
