pots
looking to replace my Squire pots and heard CTS are good. Are they that much better than Alpha? Gotta replace the caps as well.

CTS are widely considered to be the standard. Resistance is resistance, but the CTS ones feel like they have better sensitivity to adjustments and they are serviceable if something breaks.

If you don't mind the slight extra expense, the CTS are most definitely worth it. They have an advantage in that their backs are much easier to solder to than the Alphas.
About the only advantage the Alphas possess is their smooth rotation, which usually disappears the first time you use a pot cleaner on them and it washes the dampening grease from the pot.
