I’m no expert at classifying neck profiles, but I’d call it a standard C shape. I’ve read several posts where people described it as “chunky” and I’m not sure I really agree with that. I've played some real baseball bats in my time, and this isn't one of them. Overall it’s pretty comfortable. Easy to play anywhere on the neck.

I dunno. How would you other J-35 players classify it?

I blind bought mine, and tried a 45 the day before, they’re super similar, and I definitely wouldn’t describe it as chunky. Rounded yes, smooth, yes. It’s very playable. I have zero issues with it and this was my main concern going to in to this guitar.
