I had a bit of fretboard swell in 100% humidity with my Avalon on a cruise ship in USVI once which caused some temporary buzzing. When I got back to N. Florida, it reacclimated without me doing anything...so imo it's the build of that particular guitar as previously explained so well by jseth. Common sense care, play & enjoy.

I Live in Florida and have never had humidity issues with my guitars, including my GS Mini M which often travels with me on ships into the Caribbean.

Only one brand that I know of that was ever engineered to be relatively humidity-proof & that would be an Ovation. For a travel guitar, I don't think you'll find a better instrument suited for abuse from the elements than either the Applause or Celebrity models for price & more importantly sound & construction/build quality.
The composite bowl/body at least takes that much wood out of the equation for drying out or waterlogging. After that, it's just a matter of the rest of the guitar being able to stay flat, from the head stock, neck, fretboard, bridge & sound board. The all wood brands are ideal for a studio and controlled environment. If I had a $ 600+, all wood acoustic guitar, that one would never leave the house/studio. I almost don't want to take the Ovation Applause outside because it's a beautiful acoustic. Add that one can always get a Ktone composite bowl/body on Amazon or ebay for $ 100 delivered that with a little work, can't be too awful of an instrument for a sacrificial acoustic guitar for wilderness & beach bonfire play.
