Default What finish on early 70's Guild

I'm refurbing my brothers '70s Guild F112. The top needs some work and I'm trying to figure out what type of finish to use after fixing some dents and scrapes.

FWIW an easy test to determine basic type of finish is very easy to do. In an inconspicuos place like under a strap button or tuner dab a bit of acetone on the finish. did this mar the finish? If yes it is typically some form of lacquer, nitro or otherwise and can be repaired with typical lacquer materials. If after a few attemots at the test you are sure the answer is no then you have some type of "poly" finish and will need to work accordingly.
