Outdoor Uke

Also, Ukuleles not guitars.

On the other hand, I have been thinking abut a Tenor Uke, and I just got done filling the humidifiers for the wooden guitars, so the idea of a Uke that doesn't need a humidifier is intriguing.

Also the price is reasonable enough for an experiment.

Assuming Outdoor Ukuleles ever gets their act together and starts shipping again, what color should I get?

I voted Moonshine (clear) but you did not list an option for Amethyst (purple) which looks pretty cool. Each one says, "Due to high demand and because every ukulele is made to order, the current production time is 2 weeks". You are apparently going to have to order and wait it out.

I have a clear Waterman, but being a soprano size it does not get much play time from my big hands. I bought it for the novelty. A friend promptly suggested that I get a plastic goldfish to stick inside like an aquarium.

It's a two-person operation. They have basically closed ordering until they are caught up. I figure I can run the poll for a couple weeks.

And I agree that the price is low enough to take a chance.

Very nice; another composite instrument. Now if this company would get with it and produce a suitcase guitar, 24" in length, 19" scale, then the world would be all good.

The company is two folks (Father and Daughter)

I definitely get the vibe that they don't quite have a handle on scaling up production to meet intermittent demand (no doubt mostly driven by word of mouth)

One of my students has an Outdoor Ukulele tenor that looks, sounds, and plays great, he takes it everywhere and it takes a beating. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one, no matter the colour.

I would mostly play indoors as well, however. I do live in Phoenix AZ, otherwise known as Arid-Zona.

I have two... green and brown and love them!!! They go everywhere with me with one that stays in my office at work and gets lots of play by all my engineers. I also added a k&k pickup that just adds to the fun!! I would suggest all nylon strings because of the fretts. Both are running low g brown strings that I find very appealing !!!

You can not go wrong and have only great experiences working with the outdoor uke team.

Just my little attempt at humour AZ,,,
as the owner of an Emerald X7, I had already figured out that it's not compulsory to only play it while canoeing or rock climbing.

They look like fantastic little instruments and a great bargain, (although you could quickly double your outlay if you wanted a case, strap, etc. But it would still be a great value package.)

It strikes me these would also make a great starter instrument for children, (a question that is often asked here.)

PS, I hope it's not considered too political but ... I voted green !
