Default Rainsong CO-1005NT

I was at the local Rainsong dealer today and they had a brand new 1005 that had just arrived! This is the RS with the WS body, offset soundhole and 12 fret neck. I loved it! The sound is coming out a lot closer to you and it sounds like it has more bass and projection. Probably doesn't, just sounds that way due the closer sound hole. I don't really like "gimmicks" , and I don't think this is, it appears to be well thought out and it works well!

Has anyone else had a chance to try one?

I'm too much of a traditionalist I suppose to appreciate the offset soundhole. Maybe if I had one in my hands it would change my mind? I never really cared much for McPherson or Boulder Creek guitars based on the same aesthetic reasons. I have no doubt that the guitar sounds great and different than anything else on the planet but I've not gotten the chance to try one out.

They're only an hour south of you Vibe. LOL I felt the same way you do and almost didn't even pick it up until they suggested checking it out. The sound is still bugging me! I liked the 12 fret N2 neck as much as anything.
