My 2018 copper is remarkably warm compared to my 2010 black which is more piano-like.
Interesting indeed. Is the only difference that extra layer of finish?

Good question! don't have an answer, I was expecting the guitar would sound like a clone and was to be a backup or for alternate tuning but with identical strings (Elixir PB light) they have noticeably different character- both sweet

The founder of Rainsong as I recall was a MIT trained physicist/materials engineer. Don't know if the uni-soundboard changed at all from 2010 to 18. Perhaps the finish difference, or maybe the saddle shaping/neck relief is subtly different(action is set identically from standpoint of string height.

My most recent 3 guitars are the copper 2018 CO-WS, Feb20 Emerald X20, and a CO-OM1000N2 (12 fret). All great guitars but the CO-WS is the one my bandmates/accompanists seem to prefer.

Great Rainsong there. My Shorty was marine burst and I really liked that, looks great on the WS as well. Enjoy having a guitar you can leave out, or take with you without worry.

Congrats on your new guitar. It begs to be taken to Key West or some other sunny, semi-tropical climate....

Definitely a good guitar for Jimmy Buffett type tunes at a BBQ, beach or boat. Congratulations! It's beautiful!

Congrats on your new RainSong. Carbon Fiber can change how you think about acoustic guitar ownership. Enjoy!

I'm torn between this model and a RainSong dread. Yours looks great!

Ive never owned anything in an acoustic guitar but a dread....so that's why I had so much hesitation.

Because this seems to be there flagship model, I figured, maximum, it could be a $500 mistake if I had to get out of it. But I'm telling you, just pull the trigger, you won't regret it.

It's big and bold enough to fill a room with a small crowd, but the half inch smaller size all the way around (compared to a dread) makes it easy to sit back on the couch with!

Very nice - I can imagine that color at my cabin, though that is where my APLE lives. Maybe it'll need a partner someday, but don't tell my wife!

Fut;

I'm telling your wife, unless you send me a gift certificate for an emerald guitar.

I put my RainSong in it's case yesterday while doing some rearranging (otherwise it's always out) and the case is slightly misaligned, too. It's a minor issue, but I don't have that problem with any of my other cases.
