Remembering Blaze Foley
Blaze Foley was shot and killed on February 1, 1989 in Austin, Texas at the age of 39. There were definitely ups and downs, twists and turns, and some mysteries in his life. It's hard to forget his songwriting.

I've been playing the Pigeons for a few years now, and will again in a couple of days at my regular open mic. I got into it via the Avett Brothers. Simple, but beautiful and evocative song of loss for what might have been. I've just listened to the Faded Loves and Memories. That is just lovely. To be enjoyed in the company of your favourite whisk(e)y, while just letting it wash over you.
