I guess you COULD in theory loosen a main brace with the steady mechanical stress introduced over the glue joint.

I guess that sort of thing could help keep repair shops in business.

To each their own...I guess. This whole idea of trying to change the way a guitar sounds by subjecting it to a constant, condensed mechanical stress feels nuts to me.
