Just listened to that cover...and you're right it is transporting! Thanks for sharing!

Hah, they had that backwards from when I was there in 79 with my parents - there's still a whiskey tumbler at their place commemorating the fact. Alas, won't be coming back there anytime soon!

Talking guitars: I love the way she uses her archtop for basic roots/bluegrass song backing. Archtops in roots music are a bit of a "secret". They are seen as "jazz boxes" only and overlooked for general acoustic playing.
Hi Robin, I saw Sarah in (I think 2016) in a freezing church.

Are you sure you aren't thinking of her Octave mandolin like this :

I had a late model Hofner Achtop converted like this :

Saw her at the Gothic in Denver a couple weeks ago. Great show, great band. Well worth it. The new album is a little poppy for me but it sounded good live.

I think she's great. I debated about seeing her in SF on Feb 27th, but didn't go.

Im envious! Here in Germany there is little hope that we see Sarah Jarosz anytime soon, I presume.

A special treat is also Le Ren, who opens many shows for her. For example, Dyan is an absolutely beautiful song.
