Default Gear and beer discussion

Hi there,

I started a series on YouTube where I drink and review a beer while also showcasing a piece of guitar related gear. Episode 1 is shared in the elctric guitar section cos I showcase the Bugera G20.

I'm putting Episode 2 here and I hope people watch the video. The acoustic guitar I showcase is the fantastic Harley Benton CLD-1048 along with drinking a fabulous IPA.
Also, it would be excellent if we could get a discussion going about your favourite beer to have while wood-shedding. Cheers.

Very Cool!

This past weekend while wood shedding I was having a Uinta Lime/Mango Pilsner or two.

I'm not a fruit in my beer kinda guy, in fact, I am a dyed in the wool IPA junkie but I needed a break and wanted something light.

This is pretty good stuff. Even had a greenish tint to it in the glass.

As for a piece of gear to review, I bought this 6" Gretsch practice pad and practice pad stand to practice rudiments. But I've discovered that in reality its a cleverly designed non-slip coaster to hold my beer while playing the drum kit, or my guitar, or just watching TV.

Way to go Gretsch!

In the above photo in the glass is another Uinta brew called Detour, It's a double IPA. Closest thing to Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA (the gold standard) if have found. That is my goto brew. Uinta also has a normal IPA called Hop Nosh, which IMHO is much better than Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA.

I just got back from a bluegrass festival. Had me some real gin and tonics and some commercial swill in a can----it all worked out okay with some 1-4-5 (Along with some 2's and 3's) songs!

Two of my favorite things!

Love it.

Tonight I'm drinking Finch Brewery''s "Sungasm," an absolutely lovely low alcohol Belgian Pale.

Tonight I'll play...my Ovation?
