iPad sheet music: the new standard?
Hello guys!
I just saw this funny ad on youtube, this company seems to believe iPads are going to replace common sheet music in the years to come. Ever heard about it? What's your opinion? |

Could be the future is already here:
I attended a classical piano concert last week and the performer used a tablet type sheet music viewing device for a segment of the performance. He didn’t flip any pages, so I assume he was synced with a sight reading “page-flipper” backstage. This was a high profile internationally known pianist - not just some local guy! |

Yes, it seems to me it will be the new standard. They already make foot pedals to turn pages. I just makes sense, does it not?

I splurged for the iPad Pro (12.9") specifically so it was a better size for reading sheet music. All my music is in PDF form on my iPad (I use ForScore app) and when required I use a Bluetooth page flipper . It is awesome having all your music in one easy to transport package.
While there are fancy iPad stands I still just use a regular music stand to hold my iPad. The future is here . Later Rob |
