They aren't exactly the latest thing, but the series Frederick Noad did are
well-selected and reliable, with good introductory notes:

The Baroque Guitar
The Renaissance Guitar
The Classical Guitar
The Romantic Guitar

The Library of Guitar Classics edited by Jerry Willard is a good one. About $20 for tons of music.

I'd give the Stanley Yates repertoire series a try. Start with Book 1. A nice selection with a range of styles and very cool interpretive aids included.

Jerry Willard has an older book called Fifty Easy Classical Guitar Pieces. My favorite collection of beautiful sounding music and quite easy to play. My copy has a cd with it that I enjoy listening to yet.

Beginner? Intermediate? Advanced?

Jerry Willard's book begins with very easy pieces and gets progressively more difficult. So beginner and intermediate I would say. Many very beautiful pieces though.

Hal Leonard has several with about 15 tunes each. Fingerpicking Classics. Fingerpicking Beethoven. Fingerpicking Mozart. Fingerpicking Bach. Standard notation and tab. Have not looked recently but previously $7.95 each.
