Default Spohn Guitars build for B.I.G. 2022

Hi everyone!

First of all I want to thank TomB'sox for the invitation! I am super excited and can't wait to finally meet some other AGFers.

It was quite tough to decide what to bring with me as I can only bring one guitar, but I settled on my OM shape with a cutaway and a 12-fret neck joint.
For the back and sides I chose a quarter sawn set of Madagascar Rosewood that rings like a bell. The top is a lightweight example of my favorite top wood, Moon Spruce from Switzerland.

The build is in full swing so watch out for more pictures to come soon.

Thank you for following along.

Beautiful work, Max! Look forward to seeing it in person at BIG (and meeting you, of course).

Love the precision and minimalism of your builds Max. Also, for some reason your aesthetics remind me of a Paul Klee painting called Angelus Novus. After I read Walter Benjamin’s description of it in grad school, it always stuck with me.

Awesome woods Max. Can't wait to try this one out. Hopefully, you won't be taking it home!

What an amazing start to this B.I.G. build. We are so lucky to have Max coming to the show. He is making sure the "I" stays in B.I.G. and we will all be better off because of it!!!
