Default Del Arte by John Kinnard 00 12-Fret, All Mahogany

I am looking for a Collings or a Santa Cruz all "hog", 00, 12 fret. I found this one:

https://reverb.com/item/11027594-del...gany-1-3/4-nut

do any of you know anything about this guitar or the maker?

John is a frequent poster in the the Custom section and makes great guitars by all accounts. Shouldn't be hard to find in there. if you are interested, i'm sure several people here will say "Definitely, go and look".

Here's a current thread of his. https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=528082

I don't think this is the same John Kennaird (notice the spelling difference) as the frequent poster in the Custom Shop. This is the California Kennard, not the NC one. The guy who built this all-hog does have a reputation as a very good luthier though. Looks like a good price.

I'm all for turning people on to John Kinnaird of North Carolina! He builds gorgeous guitars.

Fallbrook So. Calif. guitarmaker John Kinnard was/is the builder of american made Dell Arte gyspy jazz guitars,
he also builds flat-tops, including a 12 string based on the model that Leadbelly played, and builds some fine ukuleles.

I've had the opportunity to play several of John's 000/OM guitars,
the ones I've played have all been wonderful instruments, light build, very fine workmanship, beautiful tone, and very responsive.

you can find his web site online, as previously mentioned the last name spelling is Kinnard

I've never played one of John Kinnard's guitars, but have played more than three dozen of his custom ukes. I have owned four and currently have an amazing spruce/sycamore tenor of his. In the uke world, very few people match him on tone, playability, aesthetics and build details. He is extremely precise with his build details.

I have played 2 Leadbelly 12 strings and could have bought one for a very good price. I wish I had pulled the trigger. Toby Walker has one that he loves but he had some modifications done by Mike Hauver.
