Very interesting--my Martin Ukulele has the "pepper" smell as well. I never noticed it on any other instrument.

I quite like it. And yes...my uke is also nicknamed "pepper."

Well I guess I wasn't alone on this, it is not an offensive smell to me rather like it but just wondered as it is so lasting and strong enough to fill the room.
I like the Pepper name, have never named a guitar myself, but every time I open the case on this Outlaw to practice in the mornings I fall in love all over again. Smell or no smell this is the best guitar I ever owned in my life! Thanks guys...Jerry
