My understanding (not sure if it's accurate) is that a few years ago Tim Horton's was purchased by Burger King. Their food really changed and I don't like it as much. They also changed coffee roasters - I don't like the new stuff as much either.

Apparently McDonald's partnered with their prior roaster for their McCafe coffee, which I like quite a bit.

The McCafe concept originated here in Australia - the only country where Starbucks failed.

I had a few cups of Ethiopian coffee at a coffee shot over the past year and I wasn't a fan. It was very light. I guess I like a medium to dark roast.
