I think I’ll work on that.
Anyone got a copy of an old Marlboro points catalog? I’d like to see how they described it. There was all kinds of stuff you could redeem points for, the more you smoked the more expensive the gift you could get.

They guy who got the canoe usually died.

Well, after all the suggestions for charcoal and baking soda to get the smoky smell out, I found some shoe inserts from Dr. Scholl. They have layered charcoal and baking soda is them, and can fit through the strings. They’re meant to be cut to size with scissors so they’re just about Taylor made for cutting into strips and guitar deodorizing.

Pass this tip on please!

Many years ago I used my points to get a portable CD player and a t-shirt. I don't even want to think of the number of points it would have taken to get a guitar! I have been quit 10 years as of 10/29/2018. Best decision I've made in years!

Continuing adventures of the C.F. Marlboro COPD model.
I did make a CF Marlboro headstock logo with gold letters from Hobby Lobby. I installed a Fishman soundhole pickup permanently after a temporary installation to see how it sounded. It sounded good, so I removed the strap button and used the screw hole as a pilot hole. I applied cheap dollar store painters tape (it does not stick well so does not mess up the finish). This prevents blowout. I used a stepped bit from Harbor Freight. Installed the end pin jack, and we’re good to go.

I’m necroing my own thread here. If anyone wants to see and hear my Marlboro COPD, look on the Show and Tell section of this forum for my version of The Highwayman, recorded in Ajijic Mexico on an iPhone, with tropical birds accompanying no less! I took it in my bright yellow Eastman case.

It seemed fitting to take a copy of a Martin guitar in a copy of a Calton case.

Regarding the logo. There are lots of sites that make custom decals. Just do a google search. Also, check with a local sign painter, he or she might be able to do it for a lot less than you think.
