Default Odd little occurences

Last night I dreamt that my wife had her own toaster in the kitchen and was making toast as I was making toast with the other toaster.

This morning out of the blue my wife says to me "I want to go get a new toaster sometime this week"

Hmmm. Toasters aren't a big conversation piece around here, so I know its not from a previous conversation,

Barry, it sounds like a job for Powered Toast Man (from Ren and Stimpy fame).

At least she didn’t say “I want a new husband sometime this week”, right?

In our family we call these "psychic moments."

I think I still have my parents' toaster from my childhood.

They don't make 'em like they used to. I bought a new 4-slice toaster about 6 months ago, and its now functionally only a 2-slice toaster.

As for TBman's toaster dream incident, did you and your wife come across one of these while driving around recently?

After 40 years of marriage such things while not frequent, are also not all that unusual either, for my wife and I

I dreamt I ate a huge marshmallow - when I woke up my pillow was missing.

Barry, you’re toast if you don’t get her a new one.

We went to Bed, Bath and Beyond to get one, but they only had a return. We'll order one online.

Funny you mention dreams, I've been having vivid dreams with different situations/people/subject matter but in the dream, I always have this leather bag (my mother's, from when I was a teen) with two drinking glasses and her wallet with an old ID in it. I have no clue why this leather bag keeps making a cameo in my dreams, but it is an item that I haven't seen in literally 20+ years. Heck, my mom died 17 years ago.

The most recent dream, I was walking through a parking lot carrying the bag, and someone tried to rob me. They took the bag and threw it across the parking lot, breaking the glasses inside, once they realized nothing good was in it.

Freud would have a ball with this one!

Mother, baggage, not 1 but 2 transparent fragile vessels, alcohol, identification, stolen away from you, broken images, tossed aside ... mmm indeed. Bottle fed too early?

Haha, what is this....a tarot card reading?

My aunt died last week from cancer, it has my brain all over the place. It was just interesting to me that I wasn't the only one having weird dreams recently. I don't think it means much on a psychological level, if it were that, the dreams would be MUCH crazier. LOL. I think that's why it stands out to me, it isn't nearly as crazy as my normal dreams. Heck, I've had one reoccurring dream that pops up on repeat since I was a very young child. It involves a secret portal in the attic of my childhood home.

For 2-3 years during high school, one of my sons mentioned several times a week that every time he looked at a clock it just happened to be 9:11. About the time that it really started bugging him, it just went away and never came back.
