Default Never enough nylon stringers...

Everytime I log onto the fourums here, I am always greeted by the very many nice photos on the main forum screen. I always click on a couple to get some eye candy fixes, which most times leads to others pics, etc. However, there is always a lack of nylon stringers in there. Just saying, we need more pics of nylon gits!!!

I don't know if those are proper eye candy, but those are some of the best guitars I ever played. All handbuilts.

Me and my cedar double top

Same guitar with a friend

One more

The guitar in its case. In that pic you can see the top's halves are not matched as they reflect light diferentely (not much os a color diference when you see it live, though). The luthier chooses diferent pieces for each side (on purpose, he prefers that way). Dont ask me why.

I love this one. Spruce top, Macacauba back and sides. One of my all time favourites, too bad it's not mine.

And again

My spruce top. Not a good pic, unfortunately.

That would be my contibution.
Sorry for the ugly folks in the pictures!

Here's what I'm playing the most these days:

It was custom made for me several years ago.

Here's my custom Rick Turner with Cherry back and sides. It's got the hybrid neck.

Hey! Who shrunk those guitars? And what happened to two of the strings?

They're an anomaly guys! An experiment that went wild way back when in the olden days.

These certainly lack the range of the bigger nylon string brothers, but can be fun AND informative for any musician.

Off topic but, how are Ukelele's tuned? (And don't say, "With the tuners!")

Low to high, GCEA, or the capo on the 5th fret of your guitar without the E and A strings.

Ukelele is an accepted spelling to some, but it's actually 'ukulele, with or without the "okina" (')

VERY sweet-looking axe! Love the abalone binding. Who's the luthier?

And here's the original (post-proto, first production model) Renny, circa 1995. Standard classic dimensions throughout. Rick Turner custom-made the guitar for me, with his own hex-pup installation giving the guitar Roland synth access. I signed the guitar with gold paint pen before the final finish went on. It's been a wonderful guitar for me, and was my main stage axe back in the late 90s.

A fellow named Mel McCullough in Illinois made it. I sent him all the info about what I wanted, neck width and profile, body depth, fretboard radius, scale length, zero fret, top wood, etc. It even has a bridge saddle that is height adjustable with an allen wrench.

I always wanted something made exactly to my specs, and now I have it. It's a dream to play.

He's made some pretty nice guitars for a number of fingerpickers I know.
