What Fusion-style Guit. has Widest Nut ?
Hi.
Though I'm happy with my Cordoba C10, I sometimes think of owning a solid or semi-hollow body electric classical, but one with the same nut-width of my C10 as I play mostly classical + fingerstyle standards/jazz, gut-guitar only... IE. Neck not narrow/tapered like a jazz guitar; and with flat, CG-wide fingerboard (hopefully but not adamant about it being ebony). What names meet this criteria ? How are Cordoba's ? What do you like ? What do/should they cost ? Thanks much, Mark Last edited by MarkinLA; 12-22-2020 at 05:56 PM. |

I have a Godin Multiac Grand Concert SA, and could not be happier. It is a full classical 50.8mm nut but with a c-shape neck profile and a 24" fretboard radius. it is, without any competition, the most comfortable and engaging nylon string that I have ever played. I played fingerstyle on a standard classical guitar for decades, and then this came along. If you are looking for electric classical, look no further IMO.

Though I as yet haven't been able to look into ALL the guitars all of you have mentioned, I do thank you all for all the great amount of input !!!
ckmurf, your particular review is quite attractively put !! Not 100% sure I want a radius-ed fingerboard. But I'll check it out !! Thanks again, Mark, Los Angeles |

In my search for a crossover guitar...I saw the Cordoba C7CE which is has the "C" shaped neck with a 50mm non-radiused finger board It has the Fishman blend system in it so you get the under saddle and a mic. I had a hard time deciding between this guitar and the orchestra ce (48mm neck with a radiused board).
