best capo for a Taylor Academy A12-N Nylon
What's the best capo for a Taylor Academy A12-N Nylon string guitar?
I just bought one for my daughter (and me to share). I'm assuming because of the nut width being nearly 2" and the lower tension of the nylon strings that a steel string guitar capo would not fit appropriately. I happen to have a 15yo classical guitar capo that I'm going to try out, but I assume it won't work because its totally flat and the taylor neck does have some radius to it. Does anyone w/ a Yamaha NXT, Cordoba Fusion, or Taylor Nylon have any capo suggestions? TIA, Mike

Taylor sells a 12 string yoke style capo that fits a classical. I have one.

One might do it, but it might not.
you may need to spring for one for each G7th is one company that makes a capo specially for 12 strings. I got tired of chasing my tail using other capos like my Kysers and Thalias, so I bought the Newport 12 String ART for my Guild, it works like a charm. Thalia now does offer a tuning pad that is supposed to work good on 12 strings too. |
