Default New Rainsong WS 1000

Last week my wife and daughter dropped me off at the local Guitar Center so I would have something to do while they shopped. (Time passes) Wife came into the store to get me. She knew I'd be in the acoustical room. We exchanged pleasantries. Then I said, "Let me show you a real unusual guitar." I grabbed the Rainsong and strumed a couple chords.

Her eyes grew larger when she heard the instrument. Suddenly she's full of questions - like What is that?, What's it called?, What's it cost?. Then she made a statement, "You need to get that!"

Well, what was I supposed to do? Bought it and played it out that weekend. It needs a feedback buster because it's not as resistant to feedback as my Taylor 414 is. But the music it made was wonderful.

Great bass and brilliant highs. Very controllable with pick position and heal of hand on saddle for dampening. The thing will sustain forever (seems like it). Ultra fast neck with easy action. And no bracing at all - looking inside it is a real trip - just big, black and wide open.

It won't replace my Taylor, but the Rainsong certainly is a unique addition to my little group.

Awesome. I've never played a Rainsong, but if it's similar to my Composite Acoustics, I'm sure it's a keeper. And you gotta' love when you're pressured into buying another guitar.
