Default Another New Bose S1 Pro Owner Here with Q.s

I pulled the trigger today and I am so happy. I busk all summer and often have no power so i just had to. As you all know, it sounds incredible. Pairing it with an AT headset mic.

As well, you should all know, who are considering it, that it does have a line out so you can add more speakers if you want extra volume etc.

Questions

1. Does it have phantom power for XLR? I presume not, my headset mic has that anyhow, but asking so I can avoid using the headset phantom battery if not needed.

2. There are 3 switch positions on the power. One is off. One is on. The bottom says quick charge. Does this mean that if its just off, it doesnt charge, or that it charges faster in that position?

3. How many hours fully charged are you getting with the battery? How long does it take to charge? Does it trickle charge or do u need to discharge it completely before recharging? I assume its trickle.

4. How many watts does it put out? 60? The guy at the store didnt know, he thought maybe 300. Doesnt sound like 300, my NX10 has that and its waaay louder.

My comments. It has all been said here. Its all that and more. Delighted with it.

Thanks for any responses you have.

Here's a link to the manual (that I had to find to get these questions answered for mine!)

Bose is great at not revealing specs.

No Phantom power. (Bummer)
Switch is just a quick charge in the lower position.
5 hours on a full charge
40 or 50 watts of power. Can’t remember.

More specifications following those links

I am pretty sure it is 40w. There was a doubt at some point on the Bose forum... but Bose confirmed the 40w later on.

I'm impressed with the S1.

1. No phantom power
2. Switch depressed up is ON, middle is off, lower is quick charge only. You can quick charge it and not decrease battery life.
3. 6 hours on battery at mid-power. I haven't timed how long to recharge, just leave it plugged in over-night. Bose says it is a smart charger, so you shouldn't have an issue with it over-charging.
4. I think it's 40 watts, but putting out good sound is more than just how many watts. The volume and controllable tone it puts out seems more than its small size would have you believe.
