Simple setup and I like...
I'm new to recording and just wanted a setup to hear my guitars very well.
So, using a Tascam portable digital , two Rode NT5 mics and placing them in specific locations gave me a satisfactory , non biased recording. This was using a 1946 Gibson J-45, BTW. https://www.hangoutstorage.com/flatp...5320672022.mp3

One mic pointing at fretboard near the guitar body, about 8-10 inched away, the other up higher pointing towards the bridge , at my shoulder height. Both small condenser mics, and input levels balanced.

The recording sounded nice and clear. I used to use that setup with my NT5 and other small condensers too. The bridge side was always too bassy until I pulled the bridge side mic up a bit.

Yes, that does sound good.
I have a pair of Rode NT5 mics that I used for many, many years. - Glenn
