There are many great shows listed here. I’ll add one more. I just finished a great “Who Done It” called - The Undoing on HBO. It’s a 6-part miniseries with outstanding acting and a plot that kees you guessing right up to the end. Worth a look imo.

We just recently re-joined Netflix and even more recently finished "The Queen's Gambit."

Excellent series! I mean, one of the best I've seen in the past few months/years.

We also just finished the latest series of "The Crown." Also very well done. Even though Buckingham Palace describes it as "fiction" I wonder how much is actually more truth than fiction. I fully realize it's something I'll never really know, but it is a pretty unflattering portrayal of the British royal family. (No offense intended to our British AGFers)

Oh, and if you haven't seen them, I highly recommend "The Night Manager" and "Road Kill"

Best,
PJ

Law & Order Criminal Intent. I used to love that show when it came out (at least the first few seasons).

Finished Fargo series 4 - not convinced Chris Rock was the best casting choice but still a fantastic show.

Just started Roadkill mentioned above by Photojeep.

I’m a bad boy.

Mrs. Slot and I watched Yellowstone together...it was excellent. We agreed to move onto The Queens Gambit next.

Then my adult daughter stayed for a couple days while her roommate got over Covid. Without my knowing it they’d started watching Emily in Paris. Not my cup of tea so I snuck off and watched the first episode of TQG, you know, just to get a feel for it.

I confessed my sins but proceeded to watch several more, all on the downlow.

Now I’m only 2 away from finishing and I have tremendous guilt and anxiety.

Wonderful show by the way. Very engaging.

Looking forward to when Fargo it makes it to Netflix. I've seen the first three seasons, great show.

It has a good cast and features Glen Close, Amy Adams and is directed by
Ron Howard.
The acting is mostly very good, but unfortunately IMHO, this is not one of Ron Howard’s better efforts as a director. This is too bad because the story could have been told so much better. It has the ingredients but it seems like Ron was just a tad off on developing the story.
It’s a decent watch though so I’ll give it three stars just for the acting.
I agree. I watch very few movies, but "having read the book" it was nice to find something I could tolerate to watch with my wife--we don't share the same tastes--I like dumb comedies, she likes espionage, terrorism, violence

Anyway, we both managed to stay awake through the whole thing and I give it a B. An A for the acting and a C for the story development.

The last movie I watched before this was Inside Llewellyn Davis, which had no plot, the music coudn't save it. This one is better, but it was no "Blues Brothers"

Just started "James May's Cars of the People" on Prime Video. It's fun. If you know him he tends to state opinion as fact, but the opinions in the show are pretty fun!

I hop into this thread every now and then to see
what y'all are talking about... I just tried Fargo,
it has been a few years since I saw the movie, but
the show seems good in the same weird way...

No Spoilers, Fargo season 4's ending sure surprised me. I think Chris Rock played an improbable character very well.

Watched both seasons of 'The Tic' - a superhero spoof show, funny at times.

Watched season 1 of Utopia, kind of violent but humorous.

Watching Upload - strangely funny.

Catching up with Taskmaster on youtube. Season 8 is streaming on CWSeed, but the rest of the seasons are all on YT. Laugh-out-loud funny at times.

Watching “Lilyhammer” on Netflix.
Funny, odd and entertaining.

"Anne With An 'E' " I had to be dragged into it by my wife but wow, fantastic images, great script, great acting. Really "old school" - tell a compelling story without any gratuitous violence or skin. Classy and way, way beyond anything you would ever see on network TV. It takes a couple episodes to get hooked....but you will!

Love that show. Super odd. One of my all-time favorite streaming series.

I'm always late on these things. I think I'm 5 episodes into Schitt's Creek that seems to get better with each.

On the always late.... I got a ways into Mad Men and then found it left Netflix.
