How to interpret Composite Acoustic Guitar Serial Number?
There was a post online quite a few years ago to interpret CA's manufacutre date and model. I can't find it now.
This is for an original CA guitar before it was sold to Peavey. So a few questions: 1. What does series 8 mean? 2. And the serial number is 8L0084##-1. (# are actual numbers but for privacy, I just blanked it out.) Thanks for any insight. |

Hi
This worked for me a few moments ago to narrow down the search: 1. At the search chose “click here to use the forum search instead” 2. At “search in forums”: disable the “search in all open forums, then enable the “carbon fiber” forum 3. At the “keyword”, enter “serial” 4. Press “search now” Otherwise you might get a response from Ellis Seal who was the CA designer and founder (VP Technology) through the handover to Peavey Inc, and then designed composite guitars at McPherson. He has a resume and info on the LinkedIn.com resume website. Cheers.

A million thanks to you both.
From the link, I think that this serial number would be Legacy, made in 2008. |
