Not quite as good as "Out for Delivery" but still promising. It's Pomelle Boss (aka Figured Sapele) with Vintage Burst top and black back/sides...

I know that Emerald tops are often darker than they seem in their pictures but this one looks like it shines on its own. Good choice with the black B/S.

The are super-stable 12-strings for sure.

Looks almost exactly like my X20-12 QM, which gets a lot of use at my house.

Would like to see a pic in without the Emerald bright lights! Nice veneer.

RP, Congrats! I'm not very familiar with carbon fiber manufacturers so when you mentioned "Pomelle Boss" I googled it but came up with nothing definitive. What exactly is it?

Thanks. I was on the fence about black vs. amber back/sides, but obviously went with black in the end...

Thanks JD. In truth, I'd never heard of Pomelle Boss and looked at it on the Emerald 3D Builder just to educate myself. At the time I was putting my X20-12 together, I was shooting for Quilted Maple but Emerald's QM veneer sample was low. Pomelle Boss looked very similar, and the supply was ample, and boy I'm glad I chose it...

And now it's an actual NGD. Will do a better write-up later, but the jury was out for less than a minute to give this new Emerald X20-12 an A+++ rating. It's a perfect blend of 12-string sound and warmth - in other words, it's not jangly as are many 12-string guitars, but it's got a wonderful multi-faceted sound. And like all other Emeralds, it's uber-comfortable to hold and play. I love it. None of my Emeralds has electronics and all have black carbon back & sides.

LEFT TO RIGHT: X20-12 with Amber Burst over Pomelle Boss veneer; Amicus Black Carbon; X20 with Black Limba veneer.
