Tenor Guitars
Any Blue Ridge BR-60T or BR-40T owners here? If so, I am curious as to size/dimensions wise how they compare to a regular 6 string dreadnought body ... also, what other choices are available today for high quality tenor guitars? I have a cheap one that I really enjoy but I am desiring an upgrade ... any feedback much appreciated ... thanks.

I own a BR-40T. Great sounding guitar and MUCH smaller than a Dreadnought.
When I bought mine it cost $409 about 5 years ago. Now they sell for almost $700. Somebody must have discovered they were good guitars. They are made over seas and I heard they took a martin tenor 018T (I think) and gave the contract to the factory that did the best job reproducing the Martin. |

You may want to look at vintage gibsons
like the tg-50. these can be had for 12-1500 and are wonderful inst. I have one and am quite enamoured with it. heres one on reverb. for 1200. https://reverb.com/item/20306977-gib...-50-1950-tenor |

Don't have one - I have a stella tenor - but I remember playing both the 40T and the 60T a few years back at McCabes. The 60T had more "bling" but I actually liked the 40T better.
Much smaller than a dred - more like a 0 size parlor.

I had a 1930s 0-18T that was killer, but getting near some serious maintenance. I still have BR40T. It’s a very nice tenor that doesn’t break the bank. It’s close to sound of the Martin. Don’t play it a lot because I have a mandola and Octave Mando. The 40T did develop a top seam crack, but it’s stable and, believe it or not, I think it sounds a bit better.
