I'm gonna say something probably offensive, but here it goes:
I think people are passing on this guitar because of the pickguard. The specs sound amazing and it is a beautiful guitar (the binding looks so classy!) but that pickguard is an eye sore. Stunning guitar with what is I'm sure a stunning sound, but that pickguard...

The pickguard was an add-on. A custom carved one by a local luthier. That said, it CAN be removed. The builder recently installed a K&K and set it up for me offered to do so if I wanted it gone. It’s not my style but it’s not hideous (to me). If you are interested in the guitar, I’ll have it removed for you. Rick

Rick, I'm not looking for such a guitar at all, but I have to agree with Lukeguard.
That PG does NOT belong on that cutie. And, I suggest you list the neck measurements and carve/shape. I am hoping to help here... Best on this Paul

Update: i was contacted by the builder today. He thought that the guitar would be much more appealing if the pickguard was removed. That’s enough for me. I’ll have it removed and repost pictures. Stay tuned.

Could you find out what the nut width is, the scale length, the string spacing at the bridge and the type of spruce the top is made from? Oh yeah, and the neck profile/shape?

I dropped off the Coobs. Yet another opinion that the guitar will look better without the pickguard. The luthier said it will come off with incident. I’ll take pictures once I get it back.

The Coobs is ready to be picked up from the shop. The luthier (the best in Charlotte, NC and a very reputable tech) said there was some pick scapes in the upper bout that he addressed. Said it looks great. I’ll take more pictures of it and add them to the post ASAP.

New pictures of the Coobs sans pick guard. My luthier/tech did a great job. Smooth to the touch. Mild pick rash that got touched up. Slightest discoloration from the pick guard. Hard to see. Tried to capture it.

Sorry to say I am still not looking for such an instrument...
I bet folks would still like to know ALL about the neck feel and measurements. And, it looks WAY BETTER to me! I bet it sounds better too, with that big hunk of plastic gone. Best on the sale, which should be rapid. and have a fun Sunday Paul
