Got another astrophtography pic last night
It was cloudy here for almost a solid month. Last night it was clear for a bit, but still a little cloudy. So, I took this:
It's a planetary nebula and this is my first decent shot of one. Unfortunately, between the intermittent clouds, a tree getting in the way, and then my battery dying, I only got 20 minutes of usable photos on this. It probably needs at least two hours to do it justice. I might come back to it tomorrow night or do something else as it's "supposed" to be clear again.

Nice. You have got the start of the "apple core" shape of the Dumbbell nebula (M27).
I am constantly impressed with what you are getting using a, what?, 500mm lens????

Rob - looks great. I'm looking forward to before and after pics (if you get a chance with clear weather to get better pics of the planetary nebula).
