Default Hello everyone

A new member here. I'd like to know if someone can shed some light on how to reduce squeeks in my recordings. Any info..please. hi to all and thank you.

i have heard coated strings help reduce squeaking....

Welcome to the Forum.

Years, OK decades, ago I used to use some goo called Finger Ease, but these days I do use coated strings.

My personal faves are Elixir Nano Phosphor Bronze.

Yep, coated strings won't remove squeaks entirely, but they're much simpler than any post-production solution.

Unless of course, you're not talking about string squeak

I agree that coated strings help. But I would also do some research into classical technique. Maybe there's some mic techique issues too
