Ok, I will.

Here's the rosette with purflings:

Then I bent the sides (deep body depth) to our OM shape:

Next I glued in the blocks and we have a rim assembly:

Easy right? Keep clicking and building. This will be done in no time.

Stay tuned, more decisions to come.

That settles it. I'm leaving more often.
Now we know who is gumming up the works, and slowing us down.

I don't know, it seems like now I've taken on more managers. But, now we bring up the subject of workload, I wonder if my paycheck can take a corresponding hike? Just thinking aloud here.

And here's a pic of the top cut out and sanded to bracing thickness (with faux bridge blank for reference).

Any other erstwhile boss have a thought on fair wages?

well...

I see you using resources and spending a lot of time on the internet....

Have you actually sold this?

Will the margins cover the materials, your internet AND the DQ??? Not to mention your existing wages???

Create value and the rest will come. I'm thinking a commission/bonus arrangement where you are paid on incremental increases in contribution margin.

Not yet. But I'm picturing some nice logos, transferrable to headstock, of course. And a website bio that credits Steve as a key influence along the way.

I like how you're thinking!

Chris was starting to make me think I had it as good as I can with all that "pay has a relation to money earned" stuff. It does give me a warm fuzzy to think of all the people who helped me get to where I'm going.

No worries Chris. But clearly I'm going to need your number for some investment advice.

Ok two days in: top and back both ready to brace, rim assembly ready for linings.

We need to decide on the bracing pattern. Our standard bracing is rich with overtones and nuance. It's full of tone that is great for fingerpicking. We also use a double X bracing that has a strong fundamental. Quick response with a thumping bass, clarity across the fingerboard. It's great for singing with and recording. They're both wins, but we need to pick one. You have until 10 am central to let me know.

Thanks again for following along.

With Sitka I would want to milk all the nuance I could - I would go standard.

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it. You sure you don't want to cast a vote on bracing schemes? Feel free to join the party. That goes for anyone - no experience required.

Since I'm a Chicagoan (in the burbs) and the saying here is 'vote early and vote often," I'll vote again for standard (don't tell anyone)

does that count?
