Default I think I found my perfect guitar Fender Parallel Universe series Tele.

A semi hollow Tele in Gretsch Western Orange with TV Jones Filtertrons. Love the pickguard too.

Guess that's why they call it the Parallel Universe Edition. All it needs is a Bigsby Wiggle Stick

I believe this new model is very very similar, if not identical to, a previous model called the Super Deluxe Thinline. Early 2000s MIJ limited run I think.

I’d love a MIM classic player version of this guitar.

Can't argue with you. I might want to change the saddles to solid rather than bent steel (my personal preference), but otherwise, that oozes charm.

If I had this, Folsum Prison Blues would be the first thing coming out of it. Luther Perkins is looking down shaking his head and asking why Leo did make this while he was alive.

That is a pretty cool looking guitar, and I bet it sounds and plays great. But if I ever get guitar with TV Jones Filtertrons, it will be a Gretsch.

Thats a sweet guitar ....The new Parallel Universe concept is an interesting and I think positive marketing strategy
Taking some of there US models and offering a different set of options (thus "parallel universe")

Myself If I were going to get a Tele style guitar and was going to go with a Fender It would most likely be this one
www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TeleNashACB--fender-limited-edition-parallel-universe-american-elite-nashville-telecaster-antique-cherry-burst
I really like the Idea of the two single coil and then the SawBucker in the bridge position and I really like the the bevel cut on the top of the lower bout as well as the Strat style waist bevel common to the elite Tele series

Agreed, and if I'm going to play an orange guitar also it has to be a Gretsch 6120. (Coming from this Telecaster fan).

Nice...I always thought Filter-tron/Power-tron style pups would be a good match for the whole Tele aesthetic...big clanging cleans, lot of horsepower. They sure work well on Gretsch guitars.

That one really makes sense to me since I got myself a partscaster with pretty much that layout.

Somehow, though, those block inlays on a Fender make it look too "Gibson-ey"

Simple : I don't buy guitars because of name.
Because there are a number of boutique type builders that offer excellent Tele style guitars . And it would be for the style and character of sound , the build quality and how it plays , not the name on the headstock .

LOL. I thought the same thing. Steal a little from everyone. I would have gone a little further with it and put vintage style keystone ivoriod buttons on the tuners.
