Default NGD Emerald X20

It has finally arrived, and I'm ecstatic.

I chose Pau Ferro with amber back and sides. It has the LR Baggs Element pickup and a white vine and leaves inlay on the neck.

The setup is really good for me, and I love the sound. I'll probably do some experiments with strings to see what I prefer. I was nervous about the amber color, but in person it looks so good. I'm extremely happy with the Pau Ferro.

I apologize for the pictures I'm not a good photographer.

Cheers everyone! PXL_20220210_012508094.jpgPXL_20220210_012530130.jpgPXL_20220210_012617144.jpg

I think you captured it very well - I love how everyone has the chance to make these their own with all the options Emerald offers.

I’ve had my X20 for 3+ years now, and have still not found anything better than D’Addario Nickel Bronze lights for my ears and playing style. Strings are still comparatively inexpensive (relatively), so easy to experiment with.

Stunning! Excellent choice of veneer. Is that pau ferro dark or golden? I’m waiting for the next batch of pau ferro to order my first Emerald. Beautiful and classy without going over the top (pun intended).

Thanks everyone! I was wishing it wouldn't have the glare on the fretboard. I could learn a few things about lighting, etc.

I originally chose a gold Pau Ferro, and then later Davy contacted me and said they found an issue with that specific veneer so he showed me a similar one. I'm assuming it's still in the gold family but it does have some reddish hues, so I don't know which it is.

While it was a bit disappointing that they couldn't use my first choice I was super impressed that they didn't use something that was flawed. The end result is that I love the way this one turned out.

Happy weekend everyone I'm looking forward to relaxing and playing time and the super bowl.

Very nice! I really like the look of Pao Ferro, and the vine inlay looks great.

WOW……that is one of the nicest looking tops I have seen. That just really suites my eye with the pronounced black grain and gorgeous reddish brown hues, I love it. Congratulations
