Thank you Chickee!

How terrific to hear from you! Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this cover of such a great song. I enjoyed the whole process myself!

I feel as if I've been to a two-week long master class on "Nowhere Man."

I hope all is well for you, Frank, and that the snow coming your way is not too bad!

Beatles music played and sung in this manner are delightful.

Did you compose any song played with your voice ?
Hi Acousticland!

Thank you for your kind comments! I am very pleased that you enjoyed this cover! I had fun with this myself!

I have composed some songs where I sang, many in fact, but it has been more than 30 years since I recorded any original songs. Here is a song I did with my wife that long ago about a lighthouse down the coast from us called "Tillamook Light." My wife is singing lead and I am singing harmony. It's played with my old Guild F212 12-string.

I should maybe go back and re-record some of my better songs...

Thank you Bert!

How nice of you to take time to listen!

It's true, a person never knows how something like this is going to come together until you give it a try. I was a little intimidated by this Beatles song before I started, but once I got into it, it was fun, and I was very lucky about how it did come together.

Thanks for your kind thoughts and comments Bert! I hope all is well for you!

Wow, absolutely loved that Glenn. Outstanding. Brings back so many great memories. The first band I was in back in high school in 1966...we called ourselves The Nowhere Men. Thanks for this. Mike

Wow Glenn, that is terrific!!! I am one of those Beatles fanatics and I zero issues with any of this! I would very interested in your recording, mixing and mastering process (and the gear used) but I'm sure that would take you half a day to lay out.....but if you're bored one of these days and would consider sending me a private message with as much info as you are inclined to divulge I would really, really appreciate it! :~)

As a side note: have you ever gone to Vegas and seen the Cirque show "Love" at the Mirage? Great in sooooooo many ways but one of my favorite parts happens even before the show starts. Instrumental tracks (vocals scrubbed) from many Beatles tunes are played through what has to be one of the most incredible sound system anywhere. In the five times I've see that show - which is beyond amazing in every way - (and I'd see it five more times is I could!!!) - I so look forward to listening closely to that pre-show music. As I said, I am a total Beatles nut and consider my ear to be quite good, but each and every time I've heard things that I had totally missed in the original recordings. See that show!!!

Again, thanks for posting this, you have a terrific voice and I love how you get all the elements seamlessly assembled. Keep up the great work!!

Hi Kevin,

Thank you very much for watching and for your supportive comments!

The whole process of working on this was fun! And as I have commented above, I learned a lot!

And you know, I really enjoy the sound of an acoustic guitar for rhythm and an electric guitar for the lead. The Beatles were so good at that!

That high harmony at the end of the song -- a bunch of high A notes from Paul McCartney -- was about the most intimidating part of this whole process for me. Paul McCartney had such a killer voice! I had to work at that for a while... And there are two of me singing that high, which helps reinforce the vocal quality quite a bit.

Thanks for watching Kev! I hope all is well for you and your wife.

You know, I was having a heck of a time coming up with an amplifier sound for the lead guitar licks on "Nowhere Man" until I tried the Fender sound -- 6L6 power tubes -- and that rather fizzy high end at the edge of breakup that comes from those tubes -- that got me closer to whatever amp the Beatles used on that recording. I was not getting the right sound using AC30 and AC15 amp models.

I hope you are well! Take care!

You are so kind! I'm so glad you thought this came out well, Phil!

Brilliant, I think, was the work done by the Beatles in coming up with this song and getting it recorded with their great vocals. I was just taking their work and seeing if I could come up with a decent cover.

Thank you for the kind support and comments, Phil! I hope all is well for you!

Hi Mike!

How wonderful to hear from you! And I'm so pleased to read that you felt this came out well and that you enjoyed it!

I can really relate to a band called "Nowhere Men!" That's a great name!

I graduated from high school in 1966, so we are very close in age.

I hope you are doing well, Mike! Be well!

- Glenn
