Something else caught my ever wandering guitar eye which has led me to consider selling this incredible guitar so early in its life. Testing the waters. RFX fingerboard extension
Manzer wedge
Waverly tuner upgrade
French polish

Build diary
1 3/4" nut width
2 1/4" string spacing at bridge
Brand new Hoffee custom case

Here's the build video:

2 blemishes of note (pictured):
A scuff on the neck near the first fret
A tiny surface scratch on the top at the lower bout

I remember this build--what a fabulous guitar at an exceptional price!

That coco is just unreal--if only it were a smaller model...

GLWTS!

No association with the builder or seller, but that is almost the price of the materials used - a Hoffee case, perfectly quartered Cocobolo, inlays etc. Someone really should jump on it. Good luck with the sale!

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen.

It is a slope D but there is a Manzer wedge so its quite comfortable.
The cost is indeed ridiculously low for a guitar of this quality, workmanship and top grade materials. Furthermore, it was quite costly and difficult getting a rosewood guitar here from Canada.

I am taking a substantial hit on this one but I have a sickness for trying and enjoying many of these wonderful guitars by these incredible builders during this golden age of luthiery. What a wonderful time to be a guitar lover.

I have a nice trade offer I am considering for a slightly older version of the guitar I am wanting. My first choice is for the newer version so please send in reasonable cash offers soon if you are considering my guitar. Happy Sunday to all.

That guitar looks incredible. I feel that the woods on David Wren’s guitars are a cut above. Maybe it’s because he took a long break from building and was able to accumulate an incredible stash. I bet it sounds amazing! What an awesome guitar!

Thank you. The wood is indeed incredible, as is the workmanship. French polish too. Pretty hard to find all this in a guitar less than $5000, especially from a world class builder with many guitars under his belt. Once the guitar I'm interested in sells, this puppy comes off the market.

Last bump for my guitar. I figure its just not the right time if this puppy doesnt sell at this price. Considering trades for newer model McPherson 4.5 or 5.0XP.
